Madelyn understands the importance of creating a space where clients feel genuinely heard, valued, and supported. She approaches therapy as a collaborative process, working alongside individuals to explore their experiences, build on strengths, and develop strategies to navigate life’s challenges. With a warm and compassionate style, she strives to foster trust and connection, empowering clients to move toward greater self-understanding and growth.
Madelyn is particularly interested in supporting teens and adults navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, self-esteem challenges, people-pleasing and boundary-setting, neurodivergence such as ADHD, as well as gender identity and sexuality. Her therapeutic style is client-centred and collaborative, drawing on modalities such as Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Emotion-Focused Therapy (EFT), Mindfulness-Based Approaches, Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT), Trauma-Informed Care, and Client-Centred Therapy.
She received an Honours Bachelor’s degree in Cultural Studies with a minor in Philosophy from Wilfrid Laurier University and is completing her Master’s degree in Counselling Psychology at Yorkville University.
In her personal time, Madelyn enjoys creative outlets such as painting, crafting, and cooking, as well as reading, listening to podcasts, watching docuseries, and practicing yoga, meditation, and mindfulness. She also values quality time with her family, friends, and her two dogs, Finn and Chili. At her core, Madelyn finds purpose in building meaningful connections and helping others feel seen, understood, and supported.
